Marjorie Owens

Secretary

Marjorie Owens is a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and an Administrative Assistant for the Federal government, and the daughter of an organ donor. The selfless service of her father, also a disabled veteran (deceased 2017), prolonged and saved a life by donating his kidney. This has taught Marjorie the value of organ donation. Therefore, she has given her talents and time to support the organization.

Daronta L. Briggs is the Founder & CEO of Veterans Transplantation Association. He is combat veteran and kidney transplant recipient. He is combat veteran and kidney transplant recipient. He serves as an Ambassador for American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), Ambassador for United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Ambassador for Donate Life Maryland, Patient Advisory Committee (PAC), Protecting Access to Pain Relief (PAPR) and Ambassador for Living Legacy Foundation (LLF) Maryland.

April C. Boykins-Jones

Assistant Chief Executive Officer

April C. Boykins-Jones (Retired) is a United States Army Combat Veteran; she served over 23 years of active duty, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard until her retirement in May of 2013. She served as the Chairperson for Veteran’s Initiatives Committee for veterans with disabilities and PTSD.

Brenda Johnson

Assistant Chief Operating Officer

Brenda L. Johnson (Retired) is a combat veteran who served in the United States Army as a Strategic Material Advisor for the Defense Logistics Agency, where she enforced adherence to quality assurance and taught best practices for process improvement.

Sonya Rhone is a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a Cardiopulmonary Tech.

Katrina Williams

Resource Director

Katrina Williams served in the United States Army for 4 years. After serving her country she continued to serve her community with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Corrections Department and Parole Division.

Latrice Price

Community Impact Director

Latrice Price is the Community Outreach Specialist at The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland (The LLF) and has been serving as the Manager of Team Maryland for eighteen years.

Sharon Pierce-Perrault

Sgt At Arms

Sharon Pierce-Perrault is a 28 year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as the First Sergeant of the 888th Postal Company. She is a devout lover of the arts and music, and volunteers her time as a stage manager for the "Vintage Players", a senior citizen acting ensemble presenting shows to senior citizens in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Sherri s an advocate for veterans and their financial stability and growth; she has dedicated her talents, time, and compassion for veterans organizations by empowering and educating them on financial gains allowing the organization to assist the community on a larger scale.

Maurice E. Kirkland

Public Relations Director

Maurice E. Kirkland is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving 3 years as a COMSEC Operator before reclassifying as Military Police for his last 9 years. His heart for service to the community drives his desire to be the liaison who bridges the gap between organ and tissue donors, recipients, and those who directly support them.
